The conference aim was the presentation of opportunities that exist in Poland for companies located in the U.S.’ southeast states, and consequently to increase trade between the southern region of the United States and Poland.

The Southeast U.S.-Poland Business Summit took place in Birmingham, Alabama on April 15-16, 2013.

“Poland is interested in securing close economic cooperation with the United States, one of its most important strategic partners,” Ambassador Ryszard Schnepf said in his opening remarks. “In 2012, Alabama ranked 13th among all states in terms of exports to Poland. Thus, there is still room for increasing our cooperation,” the Ambassador added.
