    The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Washington, DC participated in the opening of the 36th Hemispheric Congress of The Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United States (CAMACOL) which is taking place in Miami between June 1-4, 2015.

    As part of the business panel, Ambassador Schnepf, together with the Mayor of Miami-Dade County Carlos Gimenez as well as with the Director of the Port of Miami Juan Kuryla discussed the potential to further develop trade with Latin America. The Ambassador’s participation in the CAMACOL Congress also offered the opportunity to present the special Amicus Poloniae Award to former deputy mayor and current Commissioner of Miami Willy Gort.


    During the course of the visit to Florida, Ambassador Ryszard Schnepf met with members of local Polish-American Community active in the North Lauderdale club “Polonez.”


    CAMACOL is the largest annual forum featuring chambers of commerce, trade associations and governmental agencies which deal in the trade of goods and services, as well as an exhibition of the largest firms from the US and Latin America. The mission of the Hemispheric Congress is to enable direct trade contact between firms from Latin America and the United States with the rest of the world.
