The talks covered prospects for Poland-United States security and energy cooperation, and transatlantic relations.

At a meeting in Warsaw on 11 November, Minister Witold Waszczykowski emphasised the special importance of US political and military involvement in strengthening NATO's eastern flank. The Department of State official reaffirmed the American side's allied obligations towards its allies, and highlighted the significant role Poland-US relations play in cementing the transatlantic community's unity. "The Polish-American relationship is among my priorities," Wess Mitchell said during the talks.

The interlocutors also discussed both countries' potential to work together on developing the Three Seas Initiative.

Warsaw is one of the stops on Wess Mitchell's first Europe tour, which also includes Brussels, Paris, London, Berlin, and Kyiv.
