On Sunday, October 28, in the wake of the tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, President Andrzej Duda extended a message of solidarity in mourning and hope for healing to President Trump and the American People.

President Duda’s message reads as follows:

    Dear Mr. President,

My fellow countrymen and I are shaken by the recent news coming from the United States. On behalf of myself and the entire Polish Nation, I extend our deep sympathy on the tragedy resulting from the treacherous anti-Semitic attack on the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, which took the lives of many innocent people gathered for prayer.

I offer to you, Mr. President, my sincere condolences for the families and loved ones of the victims of this horrible tragedy. I wish all those hurt by the deranged attacker’s violence a swift recovery.

We join the American Nation in prayer and mourning.

    With utmost respect,

    Andrzej Duda

President of the Republic of Poland
